1. About Our Service

Once Upon My Story creates personalized, AI-generated storybooks. You provide details and photos, and our platform generates a unique illustrated book tailored to your input. AI-generated content may vary in style and output, and we do not guarantee a specific artistic result or exact likeness from uploaded photos.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to use our services and make purchases. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3. User Content and Photos

By uploading photos or providing personal details for your storybook, you:

• • Grant us a limited license to use this content solely for the purpose of generating your book.
• • Represent that you have the right to use any photos you upload and that they do not infringe on any third party's rights.
• • Acknowledge that uploaded photos are used only during the story creation process and are automatically deleted from our servers once your book is generated.

4. Intellectual Property

• • Your Content: The generated story and illustrations in your book are created for your personal use.
• • Amazon Listings: Printed books are private by default and are not listed anywhere. Only if you purchase the optional Amazon listing add-on is your book listed on Amazon as a paperback. You may request removal of that listing at any time by contacting us at hello@onceuponmystory.com, and we will action the removal.
• • Our Platform: The Once Upon My Story platform, branding, technology, and underlying systems remain our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, reverse-engineer, or redistribute any part of our platform.

5. Purchases and Payments

• • All prices are displayed at the time of purchase and are subject to change without prior notice.
• • Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• • For refund terms, please refer to our Refund Policy.

6. Printed Books and Shipping

• • Printed books (paperback or hardcover) are printed by our print partner and shipped to the address you give at checkout. The book is printed exactly as it is when you place the print order.
• • Shipping is charged separately. Standard shipping has no tracking number. Tracked shipping includes a tracking link. Delivery windows shown at checkout and in our FAQ are estimates, not guarantees, and depend on the print site and the carrier serving your location.
• • Orders delivered outside the United States, United Kingdom and Australia may incur local import duties or taxes, which are payable by the recipient.
• • Lost parcels (Standard shipping): a book that has not arrived one month after the latest estimated delivery date is treated as lost. We will reprint it for a $20 reprint fee and cover the cost of shipping it again.
• • Lost parcels (Tracked shipping): the tracking record determines what happened. If the carrier has lost the parcel, we reprint and reship at no cost to you.
• • Damaged on arrival: send us a photo within 14 days of delivery and we will send one free reprint.
• • Wrong or incomplete address: if the address you gave was wrong or incomplete, you are responsible for the cost of the reprint and of shipping it again.

6a. Amazon Listing Add-on

• • This section applies only when you purchase the Amazon listing add-on. We then create a paperback listing of your book on Amazon so that other people can buy copies, whichever format you ordered for yourself. We set the Amazon retail price.
• • Amazon's terms apply to copies bought through Amazon. We are not responsible for Amazon's printing, pricing or delivery of those copies.
• • If Amazon rejects the book, or the listing is not live within 4 weeks of your order, we refund the add-on.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• • Use our service to generate content that is harmful, illegal, defamatory, obscene, or infringes on the rights of others.
• • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our platform.
• • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or access our services in bulk.
• • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.

8. Disclaimers

• • Our service is provided “as is.” AI-generated content, including text and illustrations, may contain imperfections or variations.
• • We do not guarantee that generated characters will be an exact likeness of uploaded photos.
• • We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by third-party services, including our print partner, postal carriers and Amazon, beyond the remedies set out in section 6.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Once Upon My Story's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
